We are happy to share that 6 candidates from our IIFL (India Infoline Group) Foundation supported Homestay Host Training Program (CSR Initiative) have been placed at Sterling Hotel at Manali, Mussoorie, and Darjeeling locations. Trainees joined at their respective hotels this past week.
Subani Meyor (from Walong, Anjaw), Jija Mipi (from Anini, Dibang Valley district) have joined Sterling Manali. Mawa Melo (Punli, Dibang Valley) and Nuya Miso (From Punli, Dibang Valley) have joined Sterling Mussoorie, and Esuli Molo (Angrim Valley, Dibang Valley district) and Pinika Taidong (Changlang, Changlang District) have joined Sterling Darjeeling.
These are our first trainees who have showed courage and have moved out of Arunachal Pradesh to pursue and start their careers. REACHA team has been counselling them and their families at every moment and step.
This has been a big step as relocating from Arunachal Pradesh is not a normal course of action for members of the community there. This program supported by IIFL Foundation under guidance of National Cadet Corps , implemented by REACHA is providing the trainees Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council aligned training. REACHA technical team is trying its best to get potential market leads for the candidates once they complete the program.
These efforts align with vision of Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region (MDoNER) to further strengthen and empower the communities of Northeast. These trainees and stories will now act as role model/case studies and encourage and motivate other members of the community to pursue their dreams.
We are grateful to Madhu Jain ma'am, Sahil Hamid for their support and guidance!
