Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) joined hands with REACHA and Indian Army in Kashmir to develop a comprehensive program aimed at empowering the youth and addressing the growing demand for a skilled workforce in the region.
The project will be run under the supervision and guidance of the Indian Army at Boniyar. The state-of-the-art skill centre at Boniyar is well-equipped to train 200 learners annually. The job-oriented training program focuses on holistic professional development, and to provide market-related hospitality training in ‘Bakery’ and ‘Food and Beverage service’ with access to employment opportunities for the youth. In addition to technical skills, the program will equip participants with valuable soft skills, empowering them and positively impacting their communities. Post course completion, learners will be given assistance for employment or entrepreneurship.
The event was graced by the presence of our Chief Guest Brig PMS Dillon Mrs. Manmeet Dillon Mr. Jitender Chand - General Manager, IHCL, and other IHCL members present. Brig(Dr) P M Bali , Veteran (Advisor Strategy and Projects REACHA), Mr. Shashi Singh - Security Manager IHCL, Vivanta, Ms. Arooj Nissar - HR Manager, IHCL, Brig(Dr) P M Bali , Veteran (Advisor Strategy and Projects REACHA), Nikhil Pant (Chairman and CEO, REACHA), and other members of REACHA team.
Chief Guest Brig PMS Dillon during his speech emphasized the importance of this new initiative, and also shared how Indian Amry around the valley has been doing initiatives to uplift and mainstream the community. He also motivated students to come and be part of the program.
Mr. Jitender Chand - General Manager, IHCL spoke about IHCL’s vision to strengthen the local communities of Kashmir, and this is only the beginning of a new partnership with Indian Army and REACHA to move towards the mission.

Mr. Nikhil shared REACHA's journey in Kashmir began since 2016 and how it has been working with various partners to strengthen Indian Army's operation Sadbhavana. The goal for REACHA continues to always be to strengthen the nation.
